Pay for a plan on your iPhone

In our iPhone app, the Owner pays for a plan through Apple, and changes or cancels it there.

On this page

One plan covers your whole household: everyone who shares your schedule.

Before you start: only the Owner, the one person in charge, can buy a plan. In our iPhone app, Apple takes the payment from your Apple Account.

  1. Open the menu (☰), then tap Household. Scroll down to Plans.

  2. To pay yearly, tick the box above the prices: I agree that a yearly plan renews automatically every year until I cancel.

The yearly price stays greyed out until you do. A monthly plan needs no tick.

  3. Under the plan you want, tap its price for a month or for a year.

  4. Apple's window shows the price again. Confirm it there.

What you'll see

A note says the plan is yours. The line under your household's name says when it renews.

A plan renews by itself until you cancel. Apple adds sales tax where the law requires it.

Change or cancel it

  1. On Household, under Plans, tap Manage subscription. Apple's page opens.

  2. Switch plan, or cancel.

You can also open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Only the Apple Account that bought the plan can change it.

To stop the next charge, cancel at least a day before the plan renews. A cancelled plan stays until the end of the time you paid for. Then you're on the free plan, and nothing is deleted.

Apple handles refunds for a plan bought in our iPhone app. Our terms say how paying works.

New iPhone, or no plan?

Tap Restore purchases at the bottom of Plans. Apple checks your Apple Account, and your plan comes back.

Already paying on our website?

Then the iPhone app shows your plan, and you change it on our website. Promo codes work there too, not in the phone apps.

Before you leave or delete

Leaving the household, giving it to someone, or deleting it doesn't cancel a plan bought through Apple. Apple keeps charging until it's cancelled. The app reminds you first.
